Since 1986, our not-for-profit organisation has been helping frail aged and younger disabled clients and their carers from around the Great Southern region to enjoy a better quality of life.

Albany Community Care’s Day Centre is located in a welcoming, purpose-built facility at 73 Hardie Road in Albany.

More than 40 clients come in to enjoy a varied program of activities six days each week, between 10am and 3.30pm. Some clients drive in, while others are picked up from, and returned to, their homes by our friendly, assistive bus service.

Delicious three-course midday meals are provided at our well-equipped day centre and on outings.
We are always willing to accommodate the individual needs of our clients, providing one-to-one assistance and care where it is needed most.

Allied Health

Albany Community Care Centre is dedicated to developing and maintaining the wellness of our clients.

We are experienced in planning, delivering and supporting rehabilitation programs to help maintain our clients’ independence.

Careful assessments help us determine how best we can help our clients remain living independently in the community.

Caring for carers

Respite care allows carers time out and the chance to develop social networks through our active Carer’s Group.

We offer services to support carers in their own homes and at our friendly Day Centre.

Respite care for clients with low-level needs can also be provided in our Respite Centre, located adjacent to the Day Centre on Hardie Rd.

Join in the fun with our
Special Programs

Albany Community Care Centre's Centre Based Day Care Program offers a variety of fun and popular things to do, including:

Special interest groups:

Sometimes blokes need space just to be blokes.  We have just the place!  You should ask us why our Men's Shed program is enjoying growing popularity.

Social events:

As well as regular activities run six days per week at our friendly centre, our program includes a range of outings such as shopping, participating in community events such as the ANZAC services, Christmas lights tours, day trips to interesting places, picnics at the beach and even art group excursions to capture our beautiful environment at its best.

Tech workshops:

Our staff are trained to assist interested clients in using new technology such as tablets and phones, including computers provided at the centre via the Broadband for Seniors program.

Information sessions:

Our Day Centre hosts a variety of topical information sessions, making sure that clients are kept up-to-date on the latest information regarding health, home and safety, specialised services, and more.

There are plenty of opportunities to get together with other people sharing similar interests at the Albany Community Care Day Centre.
